Meet Chantele

A dedicated Registered Counsellor, Play Practitioner and former Educator casting light on the emotional world of children. 

With extensive experience in clinical and educational environments and several years leading her own psychology practice, Chantele brings a comprehensive understanding of the complexities that young people ​face. Children and youth with mild-to-complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties are supported through her offerings of Play Therapy, Counselling and Assessments. Chantele also frequently serves on multi-disciplinary healthcare teams, supporting individuals with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), sensory difficulties, diagnosed depression and anxiety, Eating Disorders and suicidal risk.

It is Chantele's hope that all children will live feeling validated, integrated and whole. Her practice rooms in Claremont offer a place of solace and safety where clients can explore their inner and outer world. She considers it a privilege to help discover a young persons inherent potential and to walk this path with their family. "Self-discovery is a lifelong process, but through early therapeutic support we are able to help children develop the skills and insight necessary to live with greater purpose, meaning, and fulfillment."


In practice, Chantele takes a systemic whole-person approach to health. Her therapeutic palette includes various evidence-based psychotherapies incl. Play Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Practices. All interventions are individualized and founded in authenticity, trust, empathy and unconditional positive regard for clients. Parents, educators, and additional healthcare professionals may form part of the therapeutic process. Ethical standards of confidentiality and consent are always applied in this regard. This ensures the privacy and rights of all parties involved.


South Africa & The United Kingdom

Chantele is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa's (HPCSA) Board of Psychology and with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF). This ensures that she has met the stringent training requirements to register in her field, complies with annual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and is bound by strong ethical guidelines when practicing. In addition, this allows clients who are covered by their medical aid to claim back services. She is further registered as an educator with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) - the professional regulatory body for teachers in South Africa.​ Chantele is licensed to practice in the United Kingdom through The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
