As a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa's (HPCSA) Board of Psychology, Chantele provides accessible psychological services to her young clients and the school community.
With a special interest in resilience, optimal child development and early prevention, she has dedicated her practice to the wellness of young children, adolescents and older youth. Children with various social, emotional and behavioural difficulties are supported through her offerings of Play Therapy, Counselling and (education and career related) Psychological Assessments. All sessions take place in an emotionally safe space where stories, growth and healing can unfold.
In practice, Chantele takes a holistic whole-person approach to health. She draws from various evidence-based approaches according to the needs of each client, incl. Gestalt Play Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Practices. Each approach is founded in authenticity, trust, empathy and unconditional positive regard for clients.

Chantele has a professional background in Psychology and Education that has provided the strong foundation for her work with young people. Her professional training was completed at Cornerstone Institute where she obtained her BPsych Hons (Couns.) with distinction. Her accompanying internship as a school counsellor was completed at Gene Louw Primary School, Cape Town and her community service at various sites incl. Noah’s Ark Pre-Primary, James House, St. Michaels Child and Youth Care Centre and the Her Foundation.
In addition, she has achieved her BEdHons with Specialisation in Psycho-Educational Support (Unisa), with distinction. Chantele has also graduated with a Degree in Psychology from Stellenbosch University where she started her academic studies. While continuing with postgraduate studies at Stellenbosch, Chantele also qualified as a FET and Senior Phase educator which included a teaching internship at a local high school.
Chantele is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa's (HPCSA) Board of Psychology and with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF). This ensures that she has met the stringent training requirements to register in her field, complies with annual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and is bound by strong ethical guidelines when practicing. In addition, this allows clients who are covered by their medical aid to claim back services. Chantele is also registered as an educator with the South African Council for Educators (SACE); the professional regulatory body for teachers in South Africa.
